Cecily Robust acquired a heartfelt sendoff by Elvis star Austin Butler throughout her ultimate day at Saturday Evening Stay on Dec. 17.
The longtime SNL forged member, whose departure from the NBC comedy sequence was introduced on earlier within the day, appeared in a sketch titled “Blue Christmas” through which she portrays a RadioShack worker who’s leaving the corporate after 11 years.
“As a few of you recognize, that is Cecily’s final day working at RadioShack after eight unbelievable years,” SNL‘s Kenan Thompson, who performs the shop’s supervisor, tells a bunch of her co-workers.
Robust rapidly corrects her boss, inform him she’s really labored on the firm for 11 years. “I do know, and eight of them had been unbelievable,” Thompson replies.
To have fun her final day, Thompson declares that RadioShack has employed a “informal” Elvis Presley impersonator for the big day. “Sadly, the costume was further and we selected to not spring for that,” he says.
Host Butler then steps out, wearing a black leather-based jacket with a white T-shirt and blue denims, to serenade robust with a worthy rendition of Presley’s vacation basic “Blue Christmas.” He’s later joined by Thompson and fellow SNL forged members Mikey Day, Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Bowen Yang and others.
